How To Increase Traffic Without Spending Money

Traffic is the life blood of any website, for without it, what’s the point in having a website?

Here are our top three tips on how you can increase your website’s traffic – without spending any money. That’s right, not a single penny!

Social Media

Pretty obvious, but posting links back to your website on social media will naturally generate traffic. Just make sure you’re posting relevant content and making the posts interesting.

Also make sure you’re posting regularly. Social Media platforms love that kind of thing.

You can find more info on how social media helps your website here.

Great Content

This may require you editing your website – but we’d seriously recommend taking an hour or so out to look at your website’s content and ask yourself these questions:

  • Does it reflect your business?
  • Is there any gibberish/unnecessary info you can take out?
  • What would your customers see and how would they feel?

Keeping a website clear and straight to the point will not only do wonders for your customers but also it will make Google’s job of indexing your website easier.

Blogging

Creating content and sharing it can be a great way to bring traffic to your website. It gives you great content to share on social media & through email marketing (providing you have the correct permissions).

Also, your blog posts are indexable and therefore (in time) will be searchable on Google and other search engines.

Interesting, right? Now you’ll need a way to track your efforts. Do you have Google Analytics, or some other stat reporting software? If not, get in touch.
