Sometimes, All You Need is a Landing Page (and a Little Marketing)

Imagine The Hollies playing in the background while you read that title. Or don’t, the song’s been stuck in my head for three days, so if I have to suffer, you might as well have the song stuck too. It’s a great song though.

But here’s the key message: You don’t always need a full website.

I know. That’s a bold thing for a web developer to admit. In 2026, a website is usually seen as the “digital front door”. It’s expected, it’s professional, and it’s often the default. But sometimes, the default is overkill.

The “over-engineered” trap

If your entire demographic lives on LinkedIn or Facebook, it might make more sense to meet them where they already are. But if you’re looking to actually sell a service or convert a lead, you may need a destination.

For some small service-based businesses, especially tradespeople, a 10-page website with an “About Us” section and a gallery of stock photos is just noise. Your customers don’t want a digital tour; they want a solution.

Enter: the power of the pivot

Lately, I’ve been spending my evenings heads-down on a new feature for Quotify, and it’s based on a realisation: Not everyone needs a site, sometimes all you need is a landing page [and to love you].

Think about it. If you’re a plumber, a painter or a landscaper, you really only need three things to win online:

  1. Credibility: Who are you?
  2. Context: What do you do?
  3. Conversion: How do I get a price?

More than just a form

The new Landing Page Builder is designed to be exactly that – a smart, stripped-back destination that encapsulates your Quotify Form.

Instead of a static “Contact Us” box that disappears into an inbox, this allows you to turn that landing page into a pricing tool. If you’re going to capture an enquiry, why not capture the right details? By combining a high-intent landing page with a smart form, you aren’t just getting an email address; you’re getting a qualified lead who already understands your value.

Less friction, better leads

This feature is for those who don’t have the time (or the need) to manage a massive CMS. It’s for the pros who just need a sleek, professional link to put in their Instagram bio or at the bottom of a flyer.

It’s about making the bridge between “I have a problem” and “Here is my quote” as short as possible.
