UK domains (all domains that end .uk)
In order to transfer a .uk domain away from Prystine, you’ll first need the Nominet Tag (often called IPS-Tag) of the new registrar. You should refer to their help guides or speak to their support team to find this.
Once you have their Nominet Tag, please follow these steps:
- Log in to my.prystine.co.uk**.**
- Once logged in, head to the Client Area > Manage Domains
- Select Manage on the required domain name.
- Under Domain Management, select Transfer Away.
- Enter the new registrars Nominet Tag.
- Hit Submit.
Following this, you’ll need to then follow the steps with the new registrar in order to accept the transfer on their end.
GLTDs (.com, .org etc) domains
If you intend to transfer your GTLD domain elsewhere, you’ll need its authorisation/EPP code. The following guide details how to obtain this from your Prystine Control Panel.
How do I obtain the authorisation code/EPP code for my domain?
Please note, domain names that have been registered or transferred within the last sixty days may not be transferred to or from our platform. This is a registry restriction.
- Log in to my.prystine.co.uk**.**
- Once logged in, head to the Client Area > Manage Domains
- Select Manage on the required domain name.
- Under Domain Management, select Transfer Away.
- If the domain name is locked, you should then be presented with the following: ‘To unlock the domain, you will need to select the green arrow.’ Doing so will unlock the domain. If the domain is unlocked, proceed to the next step.
- Your authorisation code will then be presented to you.
You’ll then need to follow the procedures as outlined with your new registrar.
